Temporary art archive // ETA
As most of you guys may have noticed, my site is a complete shambles right now. [info]alittlewhisper is making it into this amazing heavenly archive thinger which I'm very excited about 8D! But until that's sorted out, you'll find all my art in my LJ memories, which I finally got around to organising properly.

In other news, I'm on a mission to make my Snape uglier! I got possibly the best piece of critical feedback I've ever recieved a week ago, by someone who said they were disappointed that my Snapes were getting prettier. And... they're so right! For shame! :(((( So, I'm going to be making a concerted effort to make him look uglier, meaner, but still hopefully hot. Eek. [info]rexluscus and [info]ledivinemarquis, your skanky evil Snapes shall lead me along the true path to Teh Uglitude! *determined*

For those who haven't seen, [info]snarry_games has started posting! Bloody hell, if all the fics are going to be like the ones posted so far, I'm going to collapse in a heap of glorious Snarry euphoria. 8D Go take a look, if anyone has somehow missed the millions of recs across LJ.

Also, to those folks who read (and adored) Grindylowe's HILARIOUS fic Death Eaters At The Malfoy Estate, it's just been updated with another chapter! This is one of those fics where I don't care it's a sloooowwww WIP that may or may not be finished - it's too funny and genius to be missed! Anyone who hasn't read it before is a nutcase. 8D!! One of my first ever pieces of fanart I drew (see my icon) was for this fic.

If they find it dissapointed, well, their problem. My snape is not canon at all and I won't change it to make others happy. I understand that you want to change him (despite I loved how you draw him until now) but do not make something drastic. Let your style evolve until get the Snape that you have in your mind. :)

Hehehe well the thing is, I still don't have a strong image of Snape in my head yet! Although I draw him so often, he still keeps changing! I hope you don't mind if I try to follow your example a little - your Snape is the best canon character design I've ever seen in sexy HP art. :D!! He's absolutely perfect.

lol follow mine? I'm too photorealist and you do not need to do that on your style. You just need to focus on the feelings that you want your snape to show and let your talent do the rest. Do not make his face as smooth as now, make his chin a bit longer and thin. Show on his face what you think Snape means. ;) (a very important thing to show a character in a drawing are the eyes, the glance...)

Personally, I'm thrilled that you're thinking of going back to the uglier end of the Snape spectrum. That's the thing that turned me on to your work in the first place.

Oh, by the way...I was showing some of my favorite HP art (gen and erotic) to my visiting mother (she's an artist), and while she liked quite a lot of it, she loved your work - and said to tell you that you're a brilliant artist. So. There. *g*

She's primarily an abstract artist (oils mostly, although she's been experimenting with fabric recently), but she also does portraits and nudes, on occasion.

Hahaha! He so is, though! He's all 'rugged and rough around the edges yet manly and handsome'. Blah, I want him to look sleazy and evil. He used to! But then my style got more photorealistic, and I've been toning him down. For shame!!

To be honest, your snape is what turned me on to snape in the first place- and I'm a total rock in that aspect of the fandom, I don't write or read snapefic.

But after recently viewing your harry-giving-snape-a-rose picture, I'm intrigued as hell to the character. Snape is fantasmic!

Don't make Snape fugly. You can make him striking, unique, a bit weathered, a touch hrdened, but don't turn him into Quasimoto. As long as you don't give him that middle-aged gorilla potbelly, jowly, back hair, balding, pants up over the belly button granpa look, I'll still probably think he's hot. Like Rickman, Snape will only look hotter with age. Your locker room Snape in a towel, and the one where he has Hermione's arms pinned above her head are wicked!hot Snape. Keep something coming into my dreams at night. More Snape illustrations please!

Hee, well no, I'll never turn Snape properly ugly - I just mean I need to make him more unpleasant, more sleazy. His face needs to be harsher, his hair more icky, and his nose bigger. But rest assured, I'll give him a body to rival a model. xD!

May I just say that I happen to love how you draw Severus Snape in the general styles that you create him and think that they are hots and wonderful just the way they are of how you make them.
It's original and great of how you do it.
Don't change the ways of how you think Severus looks upon your personality personally wise and how've you been drawing him for years just because 'some' people don't think that your Sev creations are good enough or in this case 'ugly' enough.
You make him hot and ugly the way 'YOU' want him to be to your own liking.
Not I, not anyone else, but you sweetie.

I just had to tell you how much I happen to love your Severus drawings.

It's wonderful that you like the way I draw Snape, but honestly, I wasn't offended by people giving me constructive criticism of how to draw him more ugly! Snape looking ugly is one of my favourite things about him, and to think that my art isn't representing that! hehe. I am a HP fan in China. I saw your Snarry Art "Good Things Come To Those Who Wait" on Snarry Game. I fell in love with your drawing style immediately. So I just followed the link on the page and entered your LJ, where I found more wonderful arts. I looked around on your LJ the whole day
like a exciting child.

Your HP Arts were so impressed and beautiful. As a HP fan, I have seen many wonderful HP Arts on the internet both home and abroad. Even after that, It was still a big surprise for me to find your fantastic arts. They were all masterpieces. You caught the personality of each character you drew. They were bright and vivid.

And since Snarry is my favorite pairing in Potter-verse, I love your SS/HP Arts best, such as “A Rose By Any Other Name” and “Breath”. I like the interaction between Harry and Severus in your pictures. Somehow, they just show the life of the two persons in my imagination.

I don't know if you're aware of it, but a few months ago, Livejournal changed their policies on what constitutes "obscene" material, so I didn't feel safe to keep my naughty art publicly open. I am currently in the process of reposting all my art publicly on my InsaneJournal, but it's taking a long time.
