ART: "Illogical Response" (Kirk/Spock, NC-17)
Title: Illogical Response
Fandom: Star Trek: Reboot
Pairing: Kirk/Spock ♥ ♥ ♥
Rating: NC-17, not worksafe
Notes: I finished it at last!!!!! I am so happy to be drawing this pairing - the very bedrock of slash fandom. It's like I've come full circle. :D :D :D

Yummy power struggle. \o/ Kirk didn't turn out as bruised and beaten as I'd anticipated, but this will surely not be my last foray into K/S, so stay tuned. :D

I struggled a LOT with this - I just couldn't decide where and how Kirk and Spock would be screwing, and all my sketches seemed bland and stiff. In the end, it was a toss-up between this pose, and another one which involved Kirk slammed up against a wall with his legs round Spock's waist. Maybe I will go back to that sketch in the future and clean it up. :D

I've also recently been dipping my toes in The Original Series, and am astounded by how much I LOVE it. ♥ It is so horribly sexist and cheesy and low-budget, but I don't care! It's wonderful! The rampant Kirk/Spock is blinding! The cracky plots are fabulous! I also admit how very much in love with Nimoy!Spock I am. >__>

Oh my, that is wonderful!!!! I adore Spock's green blush, but it is your Kirk that I am a little in love with! His face is just so beautiful, the open mouth, the adorable blush and mussed hair are all so lovely! Oh and I think this positions works very well (though I am not opposed to future wall!sex...), Spock's hand on Kirk's throat is especially delicious!

Of the whole thing? My favorite bit is Spock's disheveled hair. Major bonus points for rumpled!Spock. And Kirk's open-mouth glee. Oh yes, so fitting with reboot!Kirk.

I love this, Spock's face, beyond all, is so perfect, and I have such a thing for hands on necks during sex, heh, and just, everything about this is excellent, I love the way Kirk's hand is like "guiding" Spock's, like he still needs some semblance of control. <3 <3

As for the sexism of the early series, well, it was the Sixties. ;)

But Roddenberry did try to get the female First Officer in the cast, but the network balked. They were uncomfortable with Spock (his devilish appearance would lose viewers in the South, they feared) and said Roddenberry had to either dump Number One or Spock. :(

There were some stations in the South that wouldn't run Star Trek not just because of Spock but because Uhura was shown as a highly competent officer in an integrated cast. *rolls eyes*

There is Kirk/Spock love in every episode! :)
